We used an isophthalic polyester resin (ISO), or tooling resin that has greater strength and lower shrinkage over slightly cheaper orthophthalic type polyester resins. ISO is used extensively in boat hulls and in fiberglass mold construction. The cloth is 1.5 oz chop strand which is the easiest to work into corners and around turns, and heavy enough to span the gaps between the cedar boards.
