Thank you to everyone for coming out. I had a blast. It was fantastic to meet so many followers from all across the US! I love that we have built something that brings people together in such a positive way. Wish we could have had the boat in the water, and I hope we get to make that up to you in the future. We are making headway on insurance and getting rid of all the things that will not be coming on board the boat. I’m looking forward to moving my shop on-board and learning to sail. So plan on another visit, and bring your sea legs. And if anyone as a photo or video of Charlie in that Whoopee Cushion costume, I’d really like a copy of it. –Doug
Dinghy Transom Rebuild
My larger than expected 15 hp motor on our 12 ft dinghy came close to ripping the transom off and making Chris Pilling wade back to shore. I’m glad it held together as he’d still be bitching about that. So Dave showed up and welded in a much improved over new transom. And without any plywood to rot out in a few years. Yeah, I’m hoping it last a few years. This is not the boat that you want to bang into rocks, as it’s paper thin.
Reinstalling the Pilothouse
I had a great bunch of crew in and Seeker went back together much faster than expected without any major hitches. Now it’s just a matter of patience and perseverance and we’ll figure out some insurance so we can get her in the water. Until then it’s all about selling off everything that is not going to sea.
Move to the Port
The Boat the Internet Built is on the move, and the can do attitude that built this boat and frankly this country and it’s industry is also moving her down the road. We salute the men and women that put their minds and muscles to to job of building, fabricating, and creating the world we take for granted.
MOVE WEEK!

Howdy folks! Listen I appreciate everybody’s exuberance and willingness to help. But assuming you know the details and then running off half cocked can do more damage than good. So let’s be patient, let’s take time to understand the problem, let’s come up with multiple solutions, and lets pick the best one for us, Because your help is indeed needed but we have to work together. I will start selling off what I have and setting up Crowdfunding and looking a short term line of credit for insurance from folks with deep pockets in the next week. Comment with your ideas.
Pilothouse LIFTOFF
